"Oh, I'm sorry to hear..." Emily said very unconfortable with the fighting. She hated confrontation.

She came out of the pantry now, shaking off her fear since the anger was not directed at her.

"It'll work out in the end. It always does, between them."

His brow rose.

"I'm not sure what bee is in her bonnet at the moment."

She bit her lip, and nodded.

"Neither am I."

She looked into his eyes, and he could see deep fear for a moment before she covered it up again.

Emily, who wasn't privay to any of these secret looks and feeling still felt the charge of conflict in the air as she was a deeply empathetic person.

"If I go would it be better?"

"Christ, no. If you leave, she'll get more and more bitchy."

"Because you're a guest. So she'll be nicer while you're here."

"Oh, I didn't think she cared that guests were here." Emily didn't want to see her when she wasn't being 'polite'. Scaaary.

She grinned, then went to the door as the doorbell rang.

"I'll get the pizza!"

"Ooo pizza! I'm starved!"

He laughed and shook his head.

"No, you're pregnant. Huge difference."

She came back in a few minutes with the pizzas in hand.

"Where should I put them?"

She stepped forward and held out her arms.

"I'll take them. I'm thinking dining room table. You want to find paper plates and such?"

She handed over the pizzas with a grin.

"Just put those away."

"We have paper plates? Really? That had to be Savannah."

She chuckled.

"Must have been. But they work for now. Putting the house together, I don't want to do dishes after."

Emily was already into a slice when the plates were brought. Too slow!

She looked up apologetically, "Sorry..."

She laughed and handed over a plate.

"It's okay. When the baby's hungry, the baby needs to be fed."

"Don't worry about it. It's not set up enough for me to be pissy about dinner plates."

Emily giggled and put the plate of the piece to make sure crumbs didn't get anywhere.

"I think we might even have ice cream in there for dessert if you want."

She chuckled.

"We do. I didn't finish off the last pint."
