"Calcium. It's good for you." He gave Emily a sage nod.

She finished her pizza and washed it down with some water.

"Alright, maybe just a little."

She moved to the freezer to pull out a pint of ice cream. And she grabbed a spoon and handed it all over.

"There you go."

Emily nodded in thanks and slowly ate a few nibbles.

"So what do you do Elizabeth?"

She smiled.

"I'm a caretaker. Nanny work, at home care of the elderly, that sort of thing."

"We're sort of a jack-of-all-trades sort of house."

"Oh well that's wonderful work! I used to be a nurse... well a nurse's aid. I wasn't very good at it."

She shook her head.

"Used to?"

"My hands shake whenever I get nervous. Not good for needles and such."

She chuckled.

"Okay, that would be a reason."

She smiled.

"Well, soon you get to be the ultimate helper."

"What makes you nervous?"

"Thinking I'll screw up. ANd then I do so then I'm even more scared the next time. It's aweful."

She chuckled.

"You need to be confident."

"Ya, I know... I do vollunteer work now. No needles and such."

"I can't imagine you screw up that often. Sounds like a self-fulfilling prophecy to me."

"Well I don't screw up any more." She said proudly. "My work doesn't require that kind of thing anymore."

"What does your work now require?"

Well it was true. Just a little misleading.

She smiled.

"That's the best kind. Who do you care for?"
