Sand (open) - Bathtub Beach

"Mmm more like... clockwork toys. Stuffed animals" a hand was waved in the direction of the beach and at the teddy bear sitting on her jacket and who, by the looks of it, was trying to pull one of her socks over his head.
He was failing.
"I'd be happy to show you sometime"

When the woman nodded, she looked... almost like a little kid. No more than sixteen when she looked like that.

"Oh, that sounds awesome. I'd love that!"

She got two thumbs up but at least Teddy remembered to keep threading the water this time so she didn't go for another dive.
"Coffee and toys then, sounds like a fun evening" the blond smiled.

The redhead grinned.

"Better than my other friends. They all have early classes, so they're up at stupid early and go to sleep around seven or eight."

Her full bottom lip stuck out in a pout.

"Was never much of a morning person. Like, ever" the happy looking blond grinned. "Besides, I work better in the evenings, so why not simply work int he evenings"

"Not everybody gets that chance," she teased, poking the blonde in the arm with one finger. "Some of us have to work with what we're given. Still a student, I get to whine about it."

"Hey, whine all you like. Just remember, in the end you decide what you wanna do" she smirked and splashed some water at the redhead. "That's why I run my own business. Then I get to do what I want, when I want"

The redhead giggled and splashed water back at Teddy. She seemed, honestly, a little stronger than her tiny frame would allow, but looks could always be deceiving.

"Yeah, yeah. Hope I get to run my own lab when I graduate. That would be awesome."

"That sounds awesome at least"
More water was splashed at her in a good nature gesture as she laughed.
"As long as you're out to make funny little pills with smiley faces on them" she grinned, poking her tongue out.

The redhead giggled and returned the splash.

"Not hardly! I'm going for marine biology. It seems appropriate, living in a place with water on three sides."

"Nice. Very nice actually" the laughing blond smiled as she shook her head to get a bit of water out of her hair and out of her face. "And yeah, it sounds very appropriate given the area"

She flashed another grin at the blonde.

"I thought so. Hey, it could be worse, right? At least I didn't major in something like underwater basket weaving."

Because that would just be silly.

Right?

Yes, silly... Teddy wasn't contemplating something now.. no not at all.
"Maaaaaybeeee...." nnnno. No she couldn't find a use for that no matter how hard she tried. Not even a silly use. Damn it!

She laughed, splashing water at the blonde.

"I knew a guy who majored in that once. That was soooooo hilarious."

"You know, there's something wrong with your educational system if you can actually major in something that useless" she snickered, lifting a hand as if that would somewhat shield her from the water.

She laughed.

"It was this school I went to a while back. You could pick your major, no matter how weird it was. It was actually something of a joke."

"Cow pedicure!" she'd seen it on tv.

She shook her head and laughed.

"That just sounds ridiculous!"

"Apparently it's considered a talent at a pageant" Teddy snickered, almost submerging herself int he water again, only her nose and up actually above the surface.

The redhead started at her.

"You have got to be joking."

"Nu-uh. It was on tv. And while I'd like to think they were joking, I don't think they were" really. That bad.

The redhead grimaced.

"Where are you from again?"

"Germany" though it was slightly muffled because of the water. "Though it was on an American tv show, documentary, something"

She just shook her head.

"Too far out for me. I'll stick with my fishies, thanks."

"Yeah" she laughed. "Do that. The fish sounds like a much better idea"
