Visions of Sugarplums (Elizabeth) - Darius and Crew

He took her with him back to the house. It was small, though tidy. It looked well-kept, as though someone took very good care of both the house inside and out. He even held the door for her.

"Home sweet home."

She stepped through the door, looking around. Taking it all in.

"Yes, this is your place."

He smiled.

"Mine... and Savannah's."

She turned to him.

"You have a room mate?"

He smiled.

"She's more than a room mate. But yes. She won't be here until later."

She nodded and turned back to looking around.

"This is a good place for you."

His brows rose and he smiled, shutting the door behind her and moving to a bar.

"Drink?"

He asked it whether she might want it or not and it didn't even matter what she might have said. He poured her the glass of red wine -- sorry, yes, it had his blood in it -- and a glass for himself. It wasn't going to hurt him to drink his own blood. Gah, duh.

"What makes you think that? Or are you speaking of the house specifically or the state in general?"

She nodded.

"A drink would be lovely. And I speak of this state."

He handed her the glass of blood-and-wine, then leaned back so that he could sit on one of the bar stools that were there.

"What makes you think so? Oh, I agree, I'm just curious."

She took the glass and sipped distractedly.

"It is...a feeling."

He nodded at that, watching her as she looked around.

"Would you like the dime tour?"

She took another sip of her wine, and nodded.

"Yes, please."

He rose from the stool and held out a hand for her. The house wasn't huge, but it wasn't tiny, either. And amusingly enough -- he took her first to his bedroom.

"My bedroom."

Neat and tidy as the rest of the house, the only thing out of place was the sheets -- and they just looked like someone had been sitting on the bed while it was made. Because it was made.

The wine was good, so she took another large gulp.

"Not what I was expecting."

He leaned back against the doorframe and laughed. Crossing his arms over his chest, he tilted his head curiously.

"Why not? What did you expect?"

"Something....darker."

He smiled.

"Because you saw darkness when you looked at me?"

She nodded.

"And you cried tears of blood when the skeletal lover touched you."

He blinked, a little taken aback by that.

"Why would that be significant?"

Obviously, he knew. But yeah. Just yeah.

She drained her cup and turned to him.

"Do not hurt him, that is all I ask."

Now he was completely confused. And the confusion? It was real.

"What? Hurt who, Elizabeth?"

She set the glass down and stepped closer to him.

"Darius, a man like you cannot help but want one like me. I understand that. And I will come willingly if you will not hurt Chet. My Domitor."

Well, hell's bells, his night just got better and better. Really, that wasn't sarcasm.

He smiled at her, his hand coming up to caress her cheek.

"Even knowing that I am not a nice man, you would come to me, Elizabeth?"

She covered his hand with hers.

"I am not a stranger to the not nice. Even knowing that I am insane, you would want me?"

"Insanity is a relative term, Elizabeth. You see things differently, that is all. No more, no less. Yes, I would want you, to keep you as mine."

He blinked, those intense green eyes of his never leaving hers.

"And whether you come to me or not, I give you my vow that I will not harm Chet."
