Dive Bar (Rafael/Open/Plot) - The Eagle's Nest

She shrugged.

"My caring stopped at 'Do you want a drink' rather than the rest of that sentence."

He nodded and took off. He found a place, out on the edge of town, out by the water but rocky, away from surfers and swimmers. No one walking the beach late at night here. The waves were loud enough.. 100 feet away you would be able to hear a scream at all.

He stopped the bike and got off in a smooth motion. The man wasn't tall, but he was definitely smooth.

She slid off of the bike as well. Taking a look around, she drew a deep breath of salty sea air and gave a grin.

"Nice place."

He nodded and watched her walk around.

"It is a place I go to drink. Or talk."

She smiled at that one.

"Oh, so I'm not the first pretty girl you've brought out here?"

She was probably joking. Probably.

He shrugged and walked out on the rocks, grapping one and pitching it out into the water, into the darkness.

"Second. The first was my sister. I meant it, I get drunk out here, and I talk. If I wanted to seduce you I would have taken you someplace less.. sandy."

She smirked at that.

"If I wanted to let you seduce me, I wouldn't have agreed to the tequila."

He raised an eyebrow.

"You're not much of drunk dater then? You afraid you cant hold your liquor?"

She laughed at that. Openly laughed.

"No, I am not. To both questions. I simply like to remember it once I've gotten laid. So I can tell whether it was any good or not."

"Fair enough. Though if you cannot remember when you drink you might start thinking about your control. Do you often loose control?"

He picked up another rock and let slide out of his hand as he launched it into the ocean.

She shook her head.

"Not at all. But I don't like to risk it. Alcoholic father."

He nodded.

"I am sorry if I touched on a tender subject."

This didn't make sense to him. If she hated getting drunk, why do to a bar and why talk about wanting alcohol?

She smiled and shook her head.

"Not a tender subject."

He looked at her for a moment and then nodded.

"Glad to hear that. So, what do you do?"

He hadn't asked her name yet. Somehow.. that was less important than her job?

She smiled.

"Investment banker. You?"

He chuckled at that. He hadn't chuckled before.

"Couldn't you tell? I am.. a negotiator for competitive organizations wishing to do business."

She tilted her head.

"I don't judge the book by its cover."

He looked back at her.

"And what do you judge by?"

"What I see and what I experience."

He nodded and opened up the bottle. First things first, he offered the bottle to her.

"Fair enough chica."

She took the bottle from him with a smile. Bringing it to her lips, she took a healthy swig from the bottle before handing it back to him.

"Thank you."

He nodded and took the bottle from her, taking a deep drink.

"You were right. Burns going down. Good though."

She grinned.

"There are two things I know well in this world. One is money. The other is tequila."

He nodded.

"Two important things in my world. I am sure you know other things.. if you thought about it."

She smiled.

"I know many things. I only know a few things well."
