She was curled in the middle of the bed. Staring at her phone. She spend a good hour doing that before she pressed the button to call John.

The phone was there. The tears stains were on the pillow. She was not in sight.

She was shaking with emotion. Still trying to pull away. But she wasn't trying very hard. And she was done speaking. She was just feeling. And that feeling was something that might drive her into torpor.
