Discussion with the Wolf - The Roof - Grace/Jeremy Blackstone

Grace sighed.

"Please d' nay antagonize th' locals. These be friend t' a verra ol' Gangrel who be pack t' those I wish ye t' meet."

And now that they were far enough in, the wolf would be surprised. Grace opened her throat and gave a Howl of Introduction that had many deeds, if no actual Deed Name, in it.

She grinned at Jeremy, then barked into the darkness.

"I seek Arliss for a discussion with another Garou."

Behind Grace, Jeremy took the form of a wolf and howled his introduction formally, "I am Shadow-Walker, Flux-Jumper, and once one of The Pack now gone home to Uktena, Athro of Grandfather Thunder's Bringers of Light, No Moon and Two Legs. I walk darkness to bring shadows into the light of Gaia, Luna, and Helios."

Grace gave her customary greeting to Arliss, neck exposed ever so slightly.

"Arliss, this wolf masks himself as one o' my clan, t' all but myself and my Prince. I would ken ye're thoughts on th' boyo, as I trust ye, but dinna ken him t' trust."

Grace just stood there. This was not her conversation to be a part of.

He reverted to his human form with as much ease as he seemed to shift anything.

"Why do you run with a leech, Arliss-rhya?" The question is asked innocently, as if it were the simplest of things.

"Accepted properly," he asked with danger in his words, "by Gaia? Is she on the path? Would she die to stop the corruption of the wyrm and the stasis of the Weaver even if it meant her own destruction?"

"If you wish me to tell you the reasons for what I do, you must answer this question, have you ever willingly or unwillingly broken the Litany and not faced the judgement of the Nation for the crime?"

His brows set dangerously and there is lightning in his eyes.

Jeremy's demeanor returns to a relaxed state.

"First, which would you trust, a sheep or a wolf?"

"Good. Well, kindred (aka wolves) do not trust other kindred, and less so other things that go bump in the night. If I were to play at being a leashed wolf to a leech (aka sheep), I would never be able to do my work because I would constantly be watched, but by being one of them, I am afforded the privacy and freedom I require to make appropriate investigations. The Bringers of Light have worked from within the Spirals, the Kindred, and all other forms of stagnation and corruption to root out the heart of the matter from within, and we do a good job of it. My particular specialty is mobilizing one group against a more noxious one. In the mean time, I work as an enforcer for the laws and regulations of my 'parent' society in order to keep them," he smiles a wicked grin, "honest."

"Man of few words, ay?"

Now she inturrupted.

"Arliss, d' ye believe tha' I can trust him, long as there be reason for me existence?"

"I am an honorable Ragabash, almost a contradiction, but the spirits will back me up on this one even if he says you can't trust me," he rolls his eyes at the strange interpretation of the Elder Fang.
