Kidnapping a Primogen (McKay) - Panther's Lair

Grace sat in the garage on her neatly stacked pile of camping gear.  Now she waited for her prey to arrive.  He wouldn't know what hit him.  That thought made her laugh.  She'd except no excuses.  He was going camping with her, and that was that.

He arrived about fifteen minutes after her voicemail arrived. Once he got there, he walked straight toward the garage, calling out to the Gangrel. "Hey, Mama! Where are ya?"

The door to the garage was closed, but her voice carried through it easily.

"In here, love."

His footsteps were easily heard as he made his way to the garage door. He opened the door and stuck his head in. Just his head. The rest of him followed after. "Hey, Mama. Everything okay?"

She grinned from her perch on the gear.

"Long as ye don't bitch too much when I tell ye t' leave your cell phone behind, no."

He blinked. "What in tha world are ya talkin about, mama? Why would I leave my cell phone behind?"

She laughed.

"Because ye need time away from this town, an' I'm takin' ye campin'. We'll have a satellite phone wi' us tha' only select people have th' number t' in case o' emergencies."

He scratched his head. "An' ya couldn't just call me in time ta let me know ya were plannin this?" He didn't seem upset. Just confused.

She laughed again.

"Considerin', I'm kidnappin' ye, nay."

He blinked. "No handcuffs? What kinda kidnappin is this?"

She pulled a silk collar and leash from the pile and held it up.

"I thought this might work better than handcuffs, seein' as ye're goin' t' be th' one haulin' and drivin'."

He stared. Blinked. Then stared again. "Aww, Mama, ya had ta make it weird, didn't ya?"

She laughed and tossed the leash to a table in the garage.

"Aye, I did. Tha' be for Serene, nay ye. But th' thought o' th' look on ye're face was too much t' pass up."

She rose from her perch and walked over to put a hand on his arm.

"Ye d' need a few days away, an' I wanted t' spend some time alone wi' ye. T' bond as family should."

He still looked slightly pained. But at least he didn't back away from her. He shook his head. "Are ya sure we're family, Mama?"

She swore softly at the look on his face.

"D' ye think I'd trust anyone as I've trusted ye if they were nay family? Ye pull on me protective instincts, love. There only be two who pull harder, an' tha' be Jamie an' Rhiana. Ye pull almost harder than any o' me husband's childer. Somethin' inside me has claimed ye as pack. Tha' makes ye family t' me."

He couldn't help but smile. "I blame tha Woman."

She laughed.

"An' I thank her. So, shall we go campin'? Or am I goin' t' have t' truss ye up an' figure out how t' drive?"

He scratched his head. "Yeah, we can go campin. I'll even leave my phone here. How's that?"

She smiled.

"Good. Why dinna ye pull th' Jeep 'round, an' we can load her up."

He started back through the garage to do just that. "All right. But if ya find panties in tha Jeep, ya just gonna have ta forgive me! It ain't like ya gave me time ta clean up!" And through the door he went to pull the Jeep around.

She just laughed and pulled her phone to make the text messages that would put them off the grid for a week.

The Jeep came around. Then he walked back inside to wait for her to tell him what to carry. Wasn't like he couldn't carry it all in one go, anyway.

She pulled open a drawer and held out a hand.

"Cell phone, please."

He pulled the device out of his pocket and handed it over. "Ya even said please. Like I had a choice."

She grinned, putting both cellphones into the drawer. Then she turned and pointed to the pile of supplies that was isolated in the middle of the garage.

"All tha' stuff goes. While ye d' tha', I'll go grab th' ice for the cooler o' booze."
