Babysitting - Panther's Lair

She wrinkled her nose.

"Will there be time to play?"

Grace laughed.

"Of course there will."

She giggled.

"Can I get a dollhouse?"

Grace moved and lifted the girl from the chair. She set the girl on the floor and pushed her gently in the direction of the living room.

"Ye can have a whole village o' dollhouses. I've already gotten ye started, an' if ye nay care for th' one I got, I'll just keep me own family there, an' they can live next t' yers."

She giggled as she headed into the living room, wrinkling her nose at Grace.

"Do you like dollhouses too, Granny?"

Grace followed the girl and chuckled.

"Love, I never had one as a child. But I had me dolls, an' I loved 'em dearly."

She giggled.

"I know. They told me."

Grace accepted that strangeness along with the rest of the package that came with her dear grandchild come back to them.

"I'm verra glad they kenned I loved 'em."

She started rooting through the living room, looking for various dolls.

"Wanna play, Granny?"

The dolls were easy to find, as was the furniture, settled into a small chest next to the house itself.

"I would love t' play, love."

And she settled into a cross-legged seat on the floor.

She frowned. Then she looked at the dolls in her hands. Then she handed one to Grace, a small frown on her little face.

"You can be the mommy."

She picked up a male one.

"I can be Daddy."

Grace chuckled and took the mommy doll in her hands, picking up the kitchen table and chairs, placing all of them in the kitchen, the mommy sitting in one of the chairs.

She took the male doll and sat him down at the table, then looked over at Grace. She did a very poor imitation of both Jamie's voice and his accent, but it was good enough.

"Wha' is for dinner, lass?"

Yep. That was a horrible imitation. But it was cute for a four-year-old.

She kept the laughter in, and responded in her own voice.

"I was thinking we could order out. I been slaving all day t' keep th' house clean."

Still in that horrific imitation of Jamie's voice, the child continued.

"Do ye want pizza or somethin' else? An' where are my babies?" That said with a sound of laughter in her voice.

Grace broke at that for just a moment.

"They be wi' their aunt for th' weekend. I wanted some time t' have ye for meself."

"Did ye want to watch a movie?"
