Working tonight was a busy night at the club, but the last place she wanted to be. Fake smile working her shift doing what she needed to do, but she'd so rather be home but he was working tonight too so it was best to be working too.

She should have been at home. But she was avoiding home at the moment. Which is to say that she was avoiding Erik, so she was at the club, too. She had thought about sending Ali home, but it would be pointless unless Medwyn was there. So she would let the girl off early, when Medwyn showed up and finish the bar's closing herself. There were advantages to being the boss and not all of them included not being there.
