This was going to be fun. Seriously fun. She was dressed for the occasion, a jaunty little cowboy hat on top of her head, her hair down and the curls framing her face.

Thankfully, she didn't need to be behind the bar this particular night. That meant that when the first song started to play, she was right there on the dance floor, in a line with several others. And yes, she could line dance just as well as bump and grind.

True to his word, Victor arrived dressed like Kenny Rogers as The Gambler. A really skilled eye might notice his clothing looked classic 19th century, because they were of that era. He'd been in San Francisco in the 1890's, and had even trimmed the absurd bushy sideburns he'd died with into something oddly fashionable, instead of simply trimming them off.

He looked around, and leaned against the bar, while waiting for Griselda to finish her dance.

As the second song started to play, she headed toward the bar, full of smiles for him. And she was lip-syncing. Yes, she was lip-syncing Toby Keith, talking about a little less talk and a lot more action. With a grin, she walked up to him and gave him a once-over.

"You don't look stabbed."

"Provisional relationship restart" he smiled warmly. "I cannot do anything bad on purpose. "

She leaned against the bar and smirked.

"So...I was right."

"Yes" he chuckled while playfully trying to reach behind the bar for a bottle. "Do you have Rye? Or Rum?"

She smirked.

"I've got rum back there that you can drink."

"You are a wonderful person. " he chuckled "So is your boyfriend coming? I'd like to meet this paragon of manly virtue. "

She shrugged one shoulder with a bright grin.

"I invited him. I'm not sure if he'll be able to make it or not. And I'm not allowed to drink the rum, so I'll mix you something special."

She started to move behind the bar so she could fix him a drink.

"Why aren't you allowed to drink it?"

She tilted her head and rolled her eyes upward.

"You know how I keep alcohol back here that can get you drunk? Well, drinking rum makes me generally decide that clothing is optional and the option is 'nah, not really feeling the clothes much right now'."

"Good for business, awkward for Griselda. I suppose I should thank you for talking me into pressing forward with Miyu "

She reached into a small refrigerator behind the bar, pulling out a glass bottle with a clear label. She flipped a glass over and added ice, then started to hum the song playing again to herself as she started to mix a drink for him. She was in a good mood, then flashed him a grin.

"You should. But you know what is the best thanks in the world?" She looked up and sat a pink, frothy drink in front of him. "Just don't screw it up. That's the best that I can hope for."

"This looks what's the word? Girly? Also, no I don't plan to screw it up. "

She pointed to it and smirked.

"Taste it before you pass judgment, dork."

Victor took a careful sip to see what it tasted like

He could taste the faint flavor of cherry (probably what gave it the pink color) but the drink had a bite to it. It wasn't girly at all -- it just looked it. He could tell that there was more than just rum in it, too, but it tasted very good. Just not at all what one might expect from a frothy pink drink.

She leaned back a little bit on her boots and smirked.

"I like" he grinned

And she, because she is herself, just pulled a Han Solo on him.

"I know."

"These theme nights bringing in a good crowd? "

She pointed toward the full dance floor.

"Yes. It helps that they all are hoping that I'll join them on the floor for a dance or two as well."

"Good point there"

She beamed a grin at him.

"And I will. I just have to be careful about who I end up dancing with for the slow dances."

Ali walked in from the steps, she was arriving a bit later, but then again it was starting back at a slower pace then she tried last time, and dressed the part with a jean jacket over the top she headed to the bar.

She sent a quick text, then a professional smile to the regulars she knew and a wave to Victor too.
