First Tuesday (Ventrue) 7/3/12 - Lowrey Manor

She'd sent out the call to let them know what time to arrive.  Now, she waited in her office.  Doing paperwork for her horses while she did so.

Thalion waited outside to Grant to arrive so he could enter with him.

The black Yukon pulled into the driveway and stopped near the walk to the house. A passenger got out and after a careful look around as he walked to the rear door, he opened it.

Duncan slipped out, adjusting his hawaiian shirt over the black T underneath. After reaching into the back to retrieve a briefcase, he made his way up the walk. Eyeballing the man off to the side, He paid attention to his features before entering for the meeting.

Johnathon got out of his own suv, and with a nod to Duncan and Thalion, knocked on the front door.

They were all led to her office, where she rose to greet them.

"Thank you all for coming."

Johnathon smiled and bowed his head politely to Christine. "Praetor, this is Thalion of whom we spoke. Thalion, Christine Lowery, Praetor of the clan, as I explained."

Thalion bowed. "It is an honor to meet you Praetor. Thank you for having me here."

She gestured for them to sit in the chairs provided.

"Welcome, Thalion. We will see if you get to stay."

Johnathon sat down and nodded at her words

Thalion nodded and took a seat next to Johnathon.

Johnathon looked at Christine. "By the way, I have laid claim to all remaining unclaimed territory in Florida and have dispatched agents to see to my interests. "

Duncan merely raised an eyebrow at the news of Jon's activity.

He looked over at Duncan "That includes Miami Dade County just south of the Miami city limits. "

Duncan shook his head. "Jon, I believe his grace considers all of Miami-Dade to be his... as well as all the land clear to the Gulf of Mexico," He said. "I could be mistaken, of course... the announcement was somewhat ambiguous but implied such a thing at least to those outside of Domain up north. I know there are some who think him a fool for it, of course... but I should think he knows what he's doing. he is the prince after all..."

"I am claiming all south of his claim. I will settle the borders with him "

"I believe that leaves the Keys..." He said. "Those, I think you will need to go to Havanna for... which is not a nice place for our clan. Or any clan for that matter. So I was told anyway... otherwise I'd have set up something in Key West."

"The claim your prince has reads south to Miami. There is a lot of Florida south of there."

She sighed.

"Gentlemen, bickering will get you no where. So stop. We are not Toreador. We are Ventrue. And this is not presenting a good face to one who wishes to be one of us."

She turned her attention to Thalion.

"Tell me, boy. Why should I consider your entrance into this clan?"

"I have confirmed with your prince on these borders I regret the need to defend my position constantly"

Duncan nodded to Jon. "Jon, I only ask after this as the Prince is Brujah and dislikes Ventrue with a rare subtle passion. I am given to understand he dislikes Anarchs even more..." He said. "If he decides you are overreaching, it can go poorly and affect more than just yourself."

Johnathon shook his head and just glanced at Thalion for his response "

Thalion had remained quiet while his betters spoke then carefully said.

"Madame Primogen, I can offer the clan a hungry ambition for success. I will strive to be a valuable asset to the clan. I have schooling already in the arts of manipulation and leadership thanks to my sister, but I want to forge a separate life from her. From everything my host, Mr. Grant has told me, the Ventrue sound like an opportunity for that."

Johnathon smiled "He is an ambitious and up and coming young man, and wants to get out from under the thumb of the Toreador, as well as certain ahh Camarilla customs, which is why he approached me."

She nodded.

"You will have schooling from my Butler. He will teach you the life of a ghoul in this clan. From there, you will learn the life of a Kindred. This process will not go quickly. It will be arduous. But you will be rewarded."

"This Praetor is where we have another issue. Thalion is still bound fully to his sister, your Harpy."
