Being as feral as he was, news very slowly came to him. He was still not 100% sure who was scourge, which was strange, considering he was the Deputy. But that seemed to be the way of this city. Rare that he ventured within the tainted, twisted concrete jungle, filled with the demon infested technology which rotted souls and minds alike. But Maddy had been crying and complaining for the better part of three hours. While he could normally ignore such simple emotions, it was Maddy. And Maddy was linked to Duckie, so it got complicated.

So, it came to pass that the gigantic Canada was strolling along the campus, with the puppy riding atop his battered white cowboy hat. He only had one chain on - wrapped around his waist as a belt. To his left and right Roux and Zydeco trotted along as 'protection', snuffing and chuffing as the Coonhounds were want to do.

She sat to the side against a building, her face partially hidden in shadows. Stark pale skin, with almost bruised shadows under her eyes. Sharp unnatural amber eyes followed him with out staring. Knees tucked up against her chest, she wore ripped jeans that were tucked into worn leather knee high combat boots. A black hoodie was pulled up over what of her dark hair wasn't falling forward into her face.

Whether or not the man noticed the attention, one of the dogs did. Or at least one of the dogs decided to be interested. Likely, if there was a pole, Roux would be deemed to be the most 'human' out of the pack that currently padded out that night... or at least the being out of the four that would fit in amongst the frat houses. The eternally 'interested' Coonhound, nearly double the size of others of his breed, was following his nose to the one that watched, tail wagging, nose sniffing, and chuffing out his best 'come on line'.

Where the Pup learned to say things like 'Nice Shoes, wanna mate' was beyond Mat. He blamed Ori. He really, really blamed Ori for this one. His booted feet stilled their motions, head turning to see what trouble Roux was getting into. Of course, it was made slightly comical as Maddy barked something after her Uncle... while still riding atop Mat's cowboy hat.

One day... he was going to neuter that dog. Or so he kept telling himself that.

A rumble of a chuckle came forth from the young woman, as she held her hand out for the dog to sniff. It would seem that despite her inhumane appearance that she managed to still not scare this one away. Once he had a good sniff, her hand found his his back and she offered him a few good pats, and a scratch behind the ears.

"Nice dog," she offered with a bit of an Eastern European accent. Her eyes glancing back up to take in the giant walking by.

Considering the size and apparent attitude of his Master, it might be unsurprising that Roux was not frightened. Or perhaps the overly large Coondog was just that dense - his litter Sister Zydeco certainly believed that to be true. The Canadian merely nodded at the compliment, jade eyes watching from under the shadow of his hat the activities of Roux, who had licked the woman's hand and, well, in true canine fashion, ducked his head to see if she really was a girl.

It was a long story, but the hound had learned to 'check' before trying to see if they believed in the dominance theory he liked to employ.

Mat, on the other hand, started the mental countdown before he had to throttle his Pup. Again.

A low growl emanated from her as Roux decided to take it upon himself to investigate. It was a warning, that his antics would not be put up with, that carried the weight of blood behind it. Intense eyes, that were oddly wolfish, stared the pup down. Before she stroked his head once more.

In one lithe motion she gained her feet, her hood slipping to reveal long hair pulled back into a ponytail. Lean muscles could just be seen beneath her clothes.

Oh, a taller one. Nice legs. chuffed and barked the hard headed Pup. Sadly, this was far from the first warning growl Roux had received - he had even argued with Grace, after all. But really, Grace was too short for him. The nearly three hundred pound Dog just looked at Teagan, tongue lolled out and waiting for something.

The daintier female stayed by Mat's left side, watching both the woman and her brother. None of the Beasts seemed bothered, as if everything was normal. Even all the extra attention from the local fauna. Mat also waited, seeing how the scene played out. Maddy, the 'mascot' atop his hat, was fed something from his pocket to keep her little wiggly form happy and sated.

She shook her head with amusement, "Do you breed them?" She asked motioning to the pup. Her hand still idly stroking the head of Roux.

"Non." was the only word he spoke in reply. It was a truthful statement, however, the other side of the coin was that Roux tried to breed himself. Regularly. Zydeco settled down on her haunches to wait. Mat reached down, scratched behind her ears as Roux continued his 'sure fire pimpin' act', trying to circle around the poor girl and check out the goods.

In many ways, Roux was still much more human than his Master. But that had always been true.

She smirked, "You don't talk much do you?" she asked as she patted Roux, reaching down she held him by the scruff of the neck to keep him from doing anything untoward.

Unsurprisingly, the Gangrel shook his head in the negative. At least someone got it quickly.

Roux, of course, was attempting something untoward... with a fair amount of more force than a dog should.

"Can you recommend a good place to get a drink, I am new to town."

She rapped Roux once lightly on the nose when he managed to wiggle away his nose heading to places she didn't wish to be sniffed.

"A club, a bar... something like that would do." she said with a hint of a smile. That was the most she had as of yet heard him speak.

"Would I be pressing my luck to ask for a name?" she smiled a real smile at that as she continued to absently scratch Roux behind the ears.

The jade eyed Canadian nodded, "Oui. 'Ow dey say... second date." he sized her up (read: she was smaller than him), but not in the way most of the Undead males likely would. There was nothing sexual in his stormy gaze - it truly was whether she was predator or prey. Often the answer he came too was not what people thought they were.

He would give the name of a bar he had walked past during his rounds, one of middling socioeconomic standing.

"My thanks, though I never did get your name.." she hinted her sentence trailing off as she waited to see if he might supply one.

"Roux. Come. No ruttin'wid dis one." apparently, all he was going to give was the name of the male dog, as Maddy barked, repeatedly, from his hat. It almost sounded like laughter. He tipped his hat in proper leave-taking, Maddy clinging with all her puppy life, before he made to wander away, the gait of one who lived on the sea obvious.

She laughed to herself softly watching them move off into the night as she looked around pondering what else there was to do here.
