Monster Bash 2011

Shauna let out a whoop as the bikes took off and jostled for field position right at the start. Nothing like a bad jump at a start of a race to make things interesting...

Ren caught sight of Cass heading her way. Her own smile blossomed as she pushed for a little more speed.

He looked very confused at being called 'awesome'- and it showed.

Cue the cute grin. With an eyebrow wiggle. Just in case.

Jim stayed with the pack, choosing to maintain position in the mid-field as the heavy accelerators sped off forward, risking life, limb and perhaps a few brain cells in the jostle for the lead...

He made the decision to play it smart and watch for openings to advance, like he did when he was street-racing. Only a fuck up here was a bit more painful.

Cue the lowered brow. Narrowed gray eyes.

Her brow went up.

"Oh, now what?"

"Ya doin'dat cute ting 'gain."

She smirked.

"What cute thing? And if you say I'm being cute, I'm just going to point out that, once again, I am cute. So deal with it."

He rested his elbows on the railing, growling and grousing as she had won this round of the logic battle.

She turned back to the race ... so that she could cheer. Didn't even matter who won.

Ren sped up, so did Cass. The way she zigged and zagged as she sped up and recklessly began passing other drivers either proved that she had no concern for her own safety, or she really was in as much control as she was letting on. It's a race!

Jim maintained his pace, somewhat better than some of the speed demons in this race. Going into turn three, he passed a trio of bikers who fell off the pace- their speed being too much for the turn or not fearless enough to really lean into the corner.

Not sparing a glance, he jockeyed into position some ten bikes back from the lead and gaining as they went into turn four...

Ren's speed was enough to keep her at the head of the pack she'd been leading. Keeping an eye on the zigging and zagging rider, Ren readied herself for some serious racing.

As they came into the next turn, Cass gunned it and leaned into the turn and attempted to dangerously pass Ren on the inside.

Dangerous it was as Ren closed the gap pushing her frighteningly close to the edge of the track

"OH Shit." Came from SHauna as the two riders fought it out.

Some six bikes back, Jim was just holding his own with the Hellcat.

A hundred and thirty-six was as fast as he dared keep at with his bike- the only thing keeping him in the race was that he found the groove and clung to it like a scared cat.... and that he never slowed down for the corners more than a little bit.

The fact that folks packed up like Nascar mean the speeds were where he could hang with the pack.

Cass turned her head to the right, checking to see how close the next rider was to her as, for a few moments, she maintained that reckless position. Close, but not too close-- she decelerated, though not by much at all. Just enough to fall back behind Ren, though she remained right on her tail-- her front tire almost touching Ren's.

The Toreador was maintaining position in Ren's slipstream for a brief moment until they came into the next turn. As they did, Cass accelerated and sling-shotted in an attempt to pass Ren on the outside. She hoped to force Ren to throttle down or risk being cut off-- or even worse, force a collision.

The game of chicken had begun.

"Oh!" Teddy jumped to her feet, not really able to do much but watch with wide eyes as the game suddenly turned dangerous. Or err, more dangerous.

Ren held her speed and position, well aware of where the other rider was. As Cass passed her on the outside, Ren slipped behind the other bike, pulling around to the outside herself with near liquid ease. Using the increased space she pushed the bike harder coming out of the turn in a position to pace the other rider.

Cass turned her head to Ren and let go of the right handlebar briefly to give a little friendly salute. It was clear to the Brujah that Cass wasn't out to win the race. No, she was putting on a show, entertaining the crowds. Albeit not in the safest way possible-- but what's safe isn't what's entertaining.

The Rose increased her speed just enough to pull her nose out in front before rocking back in her seat and pulling up on the handlebars, popping a fairly impressive wheelie. The act of the stunt sufficiently decreased her speed, allowing the other riders to easily gain on her-- in essence, putting herself back in harms way.

Jim saw the wheelie performed by one of the lead riders and swore.

Only a damn fool or a showoff of stupendous idiocy would do such a thing in front of a pack of bikers going 125 or better.... If the fool lived through the wreck he was about to cause, he hoped someone beats the shit out of them....

Lord knows he'd want to if he was wrecked by the jackass.....
